Skim through for information on World War I for a German history paper on Kaiser Wilhelm. This is the first book in the All Creatures Great and Small series. Alf Wight, who wrote under the pen name of James Herriot wrote this to make sure the lives of country veterinarians prior to the Second World War would not be forgotten.
