This book is truly delightful. I've always loved the movie, and I love the book even more. It's the kind of book everyone can enjoy, from the age of first enjoying stories, right through the rest of life. The characters are all sort of childish in a charming way. All in all, a very enjoyable read for all. ...more

This is such a good classic and I chugged through it. It was SO MUCH better than the movie. The Land of China people was really interesting along with other cool things excluded in the movie. L. Frank Baum created a masterpiece to be enjoyed by all ages!

The word that comes to mind is bizarre. I know it was politially based, but it sure was strange.

This so is not a kind and gentle kids story. The political commentary is so blatant it’s like Baum did not even try to cover it up
