Shortly after I finished reading this behemoth about a dream home that is actually a nightmare, I wrote this letter to the friend who loaned it to me:
Have you ever been in an argument with someone and suddenly realized that you do not have the tools at your disposal to win your opponent over? Difficult to rate this book that occupied almost two months of my life. It was interesting. It wasn't the first book I've read that makes use of weird formatting and tonnes of footnotes; these are elements I enjoy in a book. Though this is certainly the first time I've been sent down through about 7 layers of footnotes, lol. Also the first time I've seen a sentence cut off and then picked up again 105 pages later!
