I love this series! First tempted to it by and end-cap display at Barnes & Noble and then further influenced by the NPR list of Best Sci-Fi/Fantasy of all time. Thus completing book 2, I'm completely hooked.

You know, I would say the night is darkest just before the dawn and hope for brighter things in the next book. . .but I know better. This book was just as good as the first. My main problems were things like the climax happened a bit far from the end (like 100 pages) and so there was quite a bit of winding down. Another little complaint was that there was hardly any hope (though there was some!), but I suppose it can't all be up, up, up. At least most of the characters I care about are still ali
