This is truly a story about young women becoming women. current events shaping who we become. what being a friend really means.
This book started slow for me, but I'm glad I stuck with it. This is a very well rounded story, capturing a group of women in a time when their world was changing. There was a distance in their relationships that didn't resonate with me, but that could be a result of growing up in an already altered world.
