This was a great mystery by Tey (the second of hers that I have read). Inspector Grant goes to pick up his friend, actress Marta Hallard, at a literary party. He encounters a handsome young man, Leslie Searle, who wants to be introduced to author Lavinia Fitch, as her nephew Walter was a common friend of a deceased friend.
