Absolutely the best of the series so far! A fun read, and one that had me shocked and surprised from the beginning.

Another one bites the dust. This is unfortunately how I'm starting to feel about this series, but I'm slogging on undaunted. I really liked how this one started out (I'm a huge sucker for Davos), and there were certainly some huge moments in this book, also that I wasn't really expecting to run into because I thought that since they just happened in the TV series it would be some time before they showed up in the books. How can I say this without completely spoiling the novel? Int he broadest terms, to have such strong feelings after the book is over just proves the craft George R. R. Martin has displayed in forming his rich patchwork that is the seven kingdoms of Westeros and the lands that lie to the east of the Narrow Sea.
