Reviewing sequels are always difficult, especially when they are the middle book in a trilogy, but here we go.
I did not have the same mind blowing reaction as I did with Under The Never Sky and I am not sure why. I think it had something to do with me. I read the first hundred of so pages, realized I didn't retain any of the information, and had to start all over again. I'm not saying it is a bad book, or even a boring one. In fact it was amazing. I received an e-ARC from the publisher via Edelweiss for review purposes.
Through The Ever Night benefits from all the groundwork set up on book one. We now have two pairs of starcrossed lovers, several different Outsider tribes in conflict with one another and also with Aria's Dweller community, a couple of great villains (both Commander Hess and Liv's betrothed, Sable) an environmental threat AND a mental illness that's plaguing the Dweller community. I really loved the first book in this series, Under the Never Sky, and I was a little afraid that this book, Through the Ever Night, would disappoint or suffer the dreaded sophomore slump but have no fear TtEN is just as good if not better. We get to know Aria and Perry so much better but what I really loved was how much better we got to know Roar.

Disappointed....review is coming but hey I've only said that the last 838271 times. After much thought, I realized this was actually a better book then I let on and I DID enjoy it very much!
