This second book in the Everneath trilogy is even better than the first! Why did I wait so long to read it? I’m so glad that one of my reading goals this year is to get back to all the series that I started and didn’t get back to, because this one is such a gem.

At the end of Everneath, we were hit with a cliff-hanger: When the Tunnels came for Nikki, Jack sacrificed himself to save her. Now, it’s Nikki’s turn to save Jack. She learns that the secret of why she survived The Feed is because Jack w

My Thoughts: Oh wow! I loved this one more than Everneath. Wowzers!

We are back with Nikki who has just lost the love of her life, Jack. He has taken Nikki’s place and Nikki is determined to get him back.

Everything in Nikki’s life is in a jumble. People blame her, her dad doesn't know what to think. She feels horrible and guilty, only she knows where Jack really is.

And then there is Cole, he left right after Jack went missing and hasn't been seen since, so Nikki but also find him somehow. He’s he

* If you haven't read the first book in the series, I highly suggest you to do so! My review contains some spoilers for the first book, and, erm, the blurb gives A LOT away. *

Oh, and super-duperly long, raving, review coming:

I am at a loss of words.

Last year, when I read EVERNEATH, it was a pretty good read. Not my favorite, mainly because of the slow pace, but still one of my favorites of 2012. After seeing SO many 5 star reviews of the second book,

After hearing so much about the underworld of the Everneath in book one, I was thrilled to get there in this middle volume of the Everbound trilogy. (I'm weird that way -- fascinated with the underworld.) Everbound was definitely more action-oriented and less romance-centered than Everneath, and featured a very nice twist at the end that has me very curious to see how this trilogy will wrap up.

This was a whirlwind adventure that you just couldn't put down. I really loved the way the Everneath is set up and the psychology and mythology that intertwine with it. I still didn't really care for Jack, but I'm happy with the way everything turned out.

AND... THAT ENDING. THAT ENDING.

I need the next one now!!

And am I the only one who really likes Cole? Well, that last trick he pulled was totally douchebag-ish, but...

Okay I actually really liked him until the last three pages or so. And damn, could the end have been any more twisty? Should probably have seen it coming, but I didn't.

Review to come.
