What Members Thought

When I finished this book I wasn’t sure how to feel. I had a lot of emotions, some of them not good. The end left a bad taste in my mouth which then took away from the rest of the story which I had enjoyed pretty much up until the climax/conclusion. I still really don’t know how to feel about it. Did I like it? Did I hate it? Was it just a meh book for me? When I got Imposter in the mail I did a little happy dance. I read Slide all the way back in 2011 because I was lucky enough to read an early copy. I really enjoyed it and when I heard there would be a sequel I knew I needed to read it.

While Slide (book one in this series) was definitely a mystery -- with main character Vee convinced that mysterious "suicides" at her school are actually murders and trying to solve the crimes by sliding into the consciousness of the suspects, Impostor starts out as more of a creepy suspense story. When Vee finds herself at the side of a road in her father's wrecked car with no memory of how she got there, she's convinced that there's another "Slider" out there -- someone who is sliding into Vee

I really wasn't too incredibly thrilled with this until the second half, which was so good I was nearly blown away. Especially when you find out who the murderer and the impostor really are.
