In a magnificent accident, I was privileged to receive a copy of “An Eternity of Roses” for review. This work, weaved in rich, lyrical language, is meant to be savored in dark, quiet evenings beside a fire. Wrap yourself in the warmth of a favored comforter and be immersed in a story you will not want to rush.

3.75 stars. A great set-up to the series, which has a fascinating mythology behind it. I'm looking forward to the next installment and learning more about the Valthreans and their enemies. I also enjoyed the character of Max, who's introduced in An Eternity of Roses, and found him quite intriguing.

An Eternity of Roses was beautifully written and a great read. Ms. Owens is very talented with description of characters and places. Emmaline and Adrian have a love that will last through endless odds and time. Lady Madeleine tears them apart on the eve of their wedding and casts an evil spell on them both. Still love conquers. Superb!
There are plenty of twists, turns and good and evil. My favorite kind of novel. I’m looking forward to the sequel. Five stars for sure!!
