This sequel to The Heart of Texas starts with a huge surprise and confronts Jack and Riley with a whole set of new challenges. Hayley is Riley's daughter from a college affair, and now that her mother has died, Riley is all she has. A wonderful follow-up to the first book, filled with romance, family, laughter, and lots of Jack and Riley moments. I adore character-driven stories and this book sure delivers. It's also spicy hot which is another plus for me. The leading men are slowly becoming one of my favorite M/M pairs ever. They just click so perfectly and it's obvious how much they love and desire each other, even after some time has passed.
