For so long a book, and considering how much of it takes place before the narrator gets anywhere near JFK in time or place, I was completely absorbed. Jacob Epping of Maine is given the assignment to change history after a rabbit hole of sorts gives unexpected access to a day in 1958. That's five whole years before JFK meets his fate in Dallas, and each day up to then must be lived and lived toward a goal.
