To be honest, I don't really care about Dorian or Chaol in this book, which is sad because I like them in the first two. Rowan didn't win me over either, but it was Manon, with her wyvern and black heart (sorry, no heart) that has the most intriguing storyline and character development. Maybe it's just me, always rooting for the demons and the bad guys, but Manon is something special indeed. She was the anti-Celaena, they were both raised to be murderer, but where Celaena did it to run away from ...more

Sarah J. Maas writes the perfect "new adult" fantasy novel in my opinion. Her books are fast moving, her characters are engaging, and ger storylines draw you in and won't let you go until the last page. Her books will always be an immediate read for me no questions asked. ...more
