3.5 stars: I must admit I'm having a little trouble rating this book because although it is well written (a little editing here and there wouldn't hurt), I really didn't feel eager to turn each page and the subject matter is a little difficult to digest, after all it is about teen suicide. I also felt the sexual overtones were a little overplayed and the dystopian aspect was underplayed...besides the whole big brother in the form of rehab is watching, the world was pretty much the same commercia

The Program presents a future in which suicide is an epidemic among teenagers and is supposedly spread like an infectious disease. In order to save the children, certain areas are implementing "The Program" *dumdumdum* where students have their memories erased in order to take away the triggers of depression, anxiety, and desire to self-harm. If this seems at odds with the theory it's a contagious disease, you would be in good company. Something is fishy, and I wasn't quite sure if it was intent
