This was an all around very good book that nicely raised the stakes and further developed the characters and revealed that there's quite a price for the gifts of the Elites and had one plot twist that was pretty amazing. I cannot wait to see how Lu wraps it all up in The Midnight Star. ...more

This was not nearly as good as the first one. The first two hundred pages or so really dragged a bit. Really disappointed as I loved the first book.
