I truly loved it; it was brilliant and connected beautifully with the previous book. It still had that surprising tension, and honestly, it had a slightly frightening quality to it. It was thrilling. Jubilee and Flynn were intriguing characters, and they were also a great juxtaposition to Tarver and Lilac from the previous book.
The plot was a branch off from pure survival; this book is about war. It's intense, and the main characters are from either side so the reader gets the POV ...more

This was very good! I really liked Flynn and Jubilee as characters and I thought they made a great couple who balanced each other out well. Kaufman and Spooner (view spoiler)

It has been awhile since I read the first book, so I didn't immediately realize who Tarver was when he appeared in this book. It was fun to see him and Lilac again. I really enjoyed the characters in this book. Jubilee and Flynn were a lot of fun to get to know. Jubilee was an interesting character. Watching her become more human and seeing her past unfold kept me hooked. I loved Flynn from the very beginning and found myself hanging on to his hope. It was contagious. I cheered him on and kept h

More focus on the mystery of the universe as it pertains to one small piece of it, less focus on 2 people falling in love (although that was there too). The authors are setting themselves up for a pretty dramatic ending to the trilogy. It seems these types of novel groups always end up falling flat in the end. I hope that is not the case here.
