If you’ve read Amanda Hocking’s Trylle trilogy, Frostfire will sound familiar. I read the series a few years ago and remember liking it. I thought Hocking created an interesting world, and realistic relationships. In fact, that was one of the first YA books I read that switched the main love interest half way through the series. I'm not sure what I think of this yet. I was expecting more of an ending and it just seemed to happen all in 2 pages. I know there are more books in the Kanin series, but i was still expecting more. I feel like Bryn could have been more deeply developed. I felt like a lot of her reactions were superficial. I liked Ridley. I think a little more "fun" time between the two of them would have been nice.

I enjoyed both the story and romance in this book. It seemed a bit short.
I wish I could give this a 2.5 star. It wasn't horrible but I don't know if I care enough about any of the story to continue with the series. Maybe if I am in a slump and needs a quick read.
