Warm Bodies by Isaac Marion is a zombie story told from the zombie's point of view. At first this seems like a preposterous notion since all zombies do are shuffle around trying to eat people and groaning “Brainnssss!” But this story is told by R. who is a very high functioning zombie. He thinks, he talks and he longs for the life he used to have. R. can experience the memories of the Living by eating their 'brainnssss'. R. eats a Living person and falls into Perry's memories. I pretty much only read this because I saw the movie and liked it. I thought the book was good; it wasn't crazy good or anything, but it wasn't bad either. It was an interesting take on "Romeo and Juliet" (got some serious connections to that play; the balcony scene was the most obvious one) and zombies as well. The ending felt a little rushed though. Overall, it was a good story.
