Another apocalyptic sci-fi novel and the end of The Fifth Wave trilogy. Yancey is a great, imaginative storyteller with interesting characters, a complex plot and a theme that questions our definitions of humanity. Be aware of massive violence, colorful language and green alien spaceships.

This just felt quite messy.

The change in POVs, the character actions, and Cassie. At the start, Cassie Sullivan was a strong, brave heroine. I found her narrative in the second book was rather irritating, and it carried on through to this final book.

Ringer really was the strong female character by the end of the second book, but I did not understand some of her decisions and actions in the third book, but perhaps there is something I was missing. I tend to read books too quickly the first time,
