4.5* I have thoroughly enjoyed this extremely frivolous series. After seeing so many negative reviews about the conclusion, I was very hesitant to even start it. I'm so glad I did. I was a bit heartbroken with the change of lead characters with The Heir, and really had a hard time connecting in the beginning. Thinking this would continue with this installment, I went in with low expectations. I was so wrong. I loved everywhere this story took me and was satisfied all the way to the end.

About half way through this book I didn't think I was going to like it, but the ending surprised me. I mean, I was surprised that I liked it more than I thought I would. It was good to see Eadlyn evolve. And by the end I could see that it ended the best way it could have, even if it wasn't the ending I was rooting for. I think I liked the Maxon and America story better. But it was still fun to see some of their future lives.
