Ahh, this was such a nice, exciting, satisfying conclusion to one of the most epic fantasy series in a while. And can we talk about why this is so epic? The characters. Lila, Kel, Rhy, Alucard, Holland, Hofstra, Lenos, Oshka...I love them all or love to hate them all. I just had to set aside a book because it failed to do this, and how V.E. A satisfying conclusion to the series.
I liked this book, but there were enough secondary (and tertiary?) characters threw in to make me dizzy. On top of that, my biggest problem with this book is the main villain. Where in the first book, we got complex character(s) as the villains, the evil in ACOL is simply that, evil.
The best part is probably the characters growth. It's great to see how far the messenger, the thief, and the prince have come since ADSOM. There are a lot of questions remained ...more

The parts I enjoyed were four star, but good grief this was way longer than it needed to be.
