I was pleasantly surprised by this book. While I loved Millie in Dumplin’, I was kind of surprised by the choice of Callie as the second main character for Puddin’. I figured Hannah was a much more interesting character. However, meshing these two together was a good choice. I love friendship stories and this proved to be a good one. One of the romances felt shoehorned and forced, but aside from that, I really enjoyed this book.

I stayed in the bath an extra hour just to finish this book.

I love this book. I love this author. I keep texting quotes to people, and this book even made me cry. It was even more thoughtful than Dumplin', in my opinion, and yet kept the focus on the parts I loved: friendship between young women, learning who you are, and making mistakes.
