Book 2 in the Renegades series and it was just as good as the first book. When it first came out there were a lot of mixed reviews and many didn't like it very much but I can't figure out why? It's so good. I'm excited to keep reading this series. I'm sad that only one book is left.

I love that Adrian and Nova finally kissed and they have sparks going between them. I'm so worried about each of them discovering each other's secrets. That's going to be hard for them to look past. One is a villain ...more

Shelves: fantasy, book-club

While I appreciate these characters and this story, I still don't like it as much as the Cinder series. There is just something about these superheroes that makes me go, "Meh" for some reason. I don't know why I don't care more, but I don't. My student book club loves this series though, so I would definitely recommend it to the teen readers.

About 3/4 of this book is about the romance, maybe that's why it isn't grabbing me as much. And I thought (for some reason unknown) that this was a duology ...more

This started out a little slow but picked up speed. And I’m excited to see in the next one who has figured out the hidden identities of the main characters.
