What Members Thought
I used to claim I wasn't a fan of faeries. but authors like Holly Black made me take it back. She doesn't disappoint with this book. I enjoyed reading about a teenage faerie court, a lazy bum prince, a twisted plot and a kick butt female character that doesn't change her decisions for romance. I also adored the cameos. I love when authors cross their other characters into new books. I hope to see more as there will be a sequel to this story. Good book, I recommend it!

I enjoyed this, but I found the way that it was written made it difficult to catch the important points. Almost as though the action bits were lost in the middle of a paragraph. The story was intriguing, but I’m not running to everyone I know to say “Read this now!”.
Rotten characters doing rotten things, but somehow entertaining? I'm going to read the second one now to see how this works out.
I recommend "The Iron Fey" series by Julie Kagawa instead. Those are awesome, and they build on each other. The world-building, characters, and action are top notch. Love that series! ...more
