DNF at about 60% and I’m really sad about this. I love, love, love the concept of turning the little mermaid into an evil siren who collects princes’ hearts. But the problem with anti-heroines is they have to be bad for a good reason (like Katniss fighting for Prim), have some redeeming qualities, or be punished for their wickedness. And I guess for me, none of those three requirements have been satisfied enough. I can’t really get behind Lira’s quest.

This was a pretty amazing book! I hardly ever do 5 stars! It is so unique!
