The mark of a good book is when you’re reading it feels like breathing oxygen.
Every word consumed is necessary for your very existence.
And without it? You may just devolve into a useless, dried-up husk. And that’s what Becky Albertalli’s THE UPSIDE OF UNREQUITED is for me. Pure and utter oxygen.

I’ve had crushes on twenty-six people, twenty-five of whom are not Lin-Manuel Miranda

THE UPSIDE OF UNREQUITED centers on Molly. Molly of the twenty-six crushes and zero kisses. Cassie, Molly’s twin, is

It felt empty.
It felt like it tried too hard to be extremely diverse without actually giving any of them personality.

It honestly felt like a starter script for an episode of The Fosters. Like, the bare bone skeleton script without any feeling.

I wanted to love them.
But it felt just so forced.
And it was disheartening to read another story about a fat girl who doesn’t feel pretty or loved until a boy likes her.

While Molly Pescan-Suso has experienced 26 crushes in her life, she's rarely acted on them. Entering the summer before her senior year, Molly yearns to find the right person to share a first kiss with and possibly take things from being a crush to actually being her significant other.

Now, Molly has two possible new crushes on her radar -- the popular guy Wil and the fantasy t-shirt wearing, Reed. Which one, if either, will Molly chose makes up most of the drama and teen angst of The Upside of Un

I enjoyed Molly's story. About a teen twin girl that's also on the heavy weight size that just want a boyfriend that wants to be kissed and loved. She's had numerous of crushes but they never knew she liked them because she won't never put herself out there to see if they felt the same way.
Her sister starts dating a girl name Mina. Mina and her sister Cassie is Keen in getting Molly hooked up with Mina friend Will. He's cute to Molly but if course she don't think he feels the same way about her.

Seventeen-year-old Molly Peskin-Suso knows all about unrequited love—she’s lived through it twenty-six times. She crushes hard and crushes often, but always in secret. Because no matter how many times her twin sister, Cassie, tells her to woman up, Molly can’t stomach the idea of rejection. So she’s careful. Fat girls always have to be careful.

Then a cute new girl enters Cassie’s orbit, and for the first time ever, Molly’s cynical twin is a lovesick mess. Meanwhile, Molly’s totally not dying of
