❝ The problem with your best friend dying is that there’s no one to sit with you at funerals. It’s not the number one problem. Obviously, my best friend’s bloated, waterlogged corpse being lowered into the earth for the rest of eternity is currently at the top of my list of Emotionally Debilitating Things That Will Take the Re...more

LOVED this book so much. I loved the concept and the characters. I decided to pick it up because of Kayla at Booksandlala read it and raved about how it was her newest favorite book of all time. I love her channel and I find she and I have similar tastes in books (almost all the time).
Mila is a girl who just lost her friend to a suicide but Mila knows deep in her heart that Riley would not kill herself that she had no reason to do so. She thinks there is foul play but no one is listening to her. ...more

* Coffee Break: Cold November Challenge: ☕ COCOA! Read a book while drinking a hot beverage. *
Just some jumbled thoughts before I pull my mind together to write my full review.
Okay, I’ve got to admit that this was quite interesting and completely different than what I’m used to.

This was just a sneak peek, so I can't review the entire book. I did enjoy the first glimpse I got. We are introduced to Riley, recently deceased, by her best friend Mila. I enjoyed Mila as a character. I like how she wasn't content to just let things lie when she was not satisfied that her best friend had committed suicide. I like that she's a girl of action and isn't afraid. It felt like most of the other high school characters are going to be stereotypical cliches, so she will be mostly on he

This was a fun and funny book with some heart-felt moments as the characters deal with grief. Mila, a fat Mexican teen-age witch (her description) brings back her dead best friend but also accidentally brings back two other dead girls who were super popular and super mean. The characters felt like real teenagers and there was a fair amount of danger and excitement that made me want to keep reading.
