I really enjoyed this book a lot. There was something about it that held me back from giving it 5 stars. It was really good but it was a disconnect between me and the characters. I loved that the books was set in Seoul Korea. I have never read a book set in Korea and I love that aspect of the book. I loved learning some of the tales told to children about Gumiho (9 tailed foxes) and the beads that can be controlled by humans should they get a hold of a Gumiho's bead. This was really, really, really good! I liked the characters quite a lot and I enjoyed how both grew as people. I found the plot intriguing and engaging and I learned a lot about Korean folklore in the process. I found the romance to be a sweet slow burn.
