In a word, this book was intense. Sydney and Adrian's romance was very intense and burns bright and hot. I just love them together and I think they make such a good match. I had a hard time rating this one. Probably 3.5 in reality. I loved the Adrian & Sydney scenes but felt like there were way too many pages of filler. Not a lot of story until the end. Most of the characters didn't have much to do. It did have a good cliffhanger like usual. I will continue reading this series in hopes of a wiz-bang ending. "Vampire Academy" as a whole still takes the cake.
