The only thing that saved this book from my giving it only 2 stars is that the second half wasn’t bad. The first half of the book was incredibly boring and info-dumpy. The second half starts with us finding out that Celine “is not like other girls” and possibly a “chosen one.” Nah - not for me.
I had preordered The Righteous that is releasing tomorrow, but I canceled it. I’m done with this series. Such a shame - I loved The Beautiful, and I should have stopped with that book.
