3.5 stars. A good book with a fun story. There were a few weaknesses, including the wrap-up to the main conflict not being really believable - let’s just say, I think the villain would have had a few more tricks up their sleeve rather than go down so easily.

I still recommend reading the duology. It was highly enjoyable and there was some good tension at times.
