Ok so I'm running a little behind on my Hunger Games novels as you can see. I do recall, when this first came out, though, the uproar that Suzanne Collins was writing a book centering Snow as the hero. As I was reading this, not once did I think he was a "hero." She was VERY deliberate in making Snow the most cowardly, selfish weasel I have ever met.

I didn’t love this but didn’t hate it either. I don’t think it added much to The Hunger Games story. It’s hard to take any peril Snow lands in seriously knowing he goes on to be president.
This had very fast moments and very slow moments, but overall I thought it did justice to the Hunger Games. Wasn't sure how I would like Snow as the main character, but I think I ended up ok with it. Loved reading the easter eggs of elements for the HG series. I'll take any trip back to Panem.
