Sophie and Agatha are friends taken from their hometown of Galvadon to the School for Good and Evil, where students learn to become fairy tale villains and heroes. Sophie, with her blonde hair and pink dresses, assumes she will become a princess. Lonely Agatha with her plain looks and black clothes, assumes she will become a witch. But when things switch, they find themselves caught in a real, live fairy tale in which only one can survive.

I'm still not sure how I feel about this one. It was over long and moved so slow I thought I wouldn't make it through, but the ending was exciting. I'm not sure I understand everything that has happened but I enjoyed large chunks of what was going on. The language is odd, phrases and structures that are difficult to grasp as you first read. It takes some getting use to - in fact it seems like maybe English is the author's second language in a way. I could be way off here, and that's just a style

This premise for this story is really fun. I love the idea that fairytales are realized by kids going to a school for good and evil, and then based off of their school grades, being awarded their very own fairytale. I loved the themes of good versus evil, and whether we are born a certain way, or whether we can choose to be good or evil.
I had a hard time believing the supposed friendship between the two main characters. I felt like there was some serious character development flaws to the plot ...more
