Percy is attacked at school and then goes to Camp Half-Blood only to find it under attack. Thalia's tree has been poisoned and he and friends go after the golden fleece and to rescue his friend Grover in the midst of the Sea of Monsters. Mixing mythology and the current day, this adventure is fast paced and fun and I totally enjoyed it

I love Rick Riordan's writing style and the percy Jackson and the Olympians series is my faovrite of all his series. I love mythology and he does a great job of bring any and all mytholgy to life in a fresh and new way. I find the characters to be engaging and to feel really real. I love how he weaves the mythology into modern times so you feel like you are learning something as you are being entertained.

Pretty good too. The series seems to engage you more and more as you go along. Better than the first. I'll definitely keep reading the series; the kids in my classes eat them up.

Loved it!
At first I didn't think this one was as fun as the first one, but then it picked up and didn't disappoint. Such fun books boys would love!
