This book tells the story in a diary style through the two main characters, Sam and Grace, each chapter from alternating points of view. It’s a little difficult to describe what I felt as I read through the pages, I felt love for the characters, sadness of certain situations and happiness in other moments too.

This is your typical young adult romance with a mystical element to the characters. I enjoyed it, although some of the ideas or details concerning the characters seem to have appeared in other books I have read. It ended kind of abruptly, but I guess that is why it is the first in The Wolves of Mercy Falls series, leaving questions to be answered in later books.

Grace is attacked by wolves as a child and is fascianted by the wolves in the woods ever since. Esp. the one with the golden eyes. Sam is that wolf and after years of watching each other they finally connect and their lives change.
An interesting take on the werewolf genre. Where temperature causes the change and some very interesting characters as a result.

I really loved this book. I've read my fair share of vampire/werewolf/witch love stories, but this really touched me for some reason. I think it was because of the dual narrators. Seeing things from both Grace and Sam's perspectives. It made me see how deep their feelings for one another were. Now, I'm off to read Linger.
