Shelves: romance, ya, wolves, beautifully-written

Good second book in a series that has me looking forward to the third book. I loved the new characters, and of course more development of the old.

First impressions: If there's one thing Maggie Stiefvater can do, it's write a good intro. I liked the tone of the prologue, setting us up for a not-so-happy ending. When the actual story begins, we pick up soon after the first book left off, and I thought things got going right away.

I enjoyed the first book. Though still liked the werewolves and how they were done, even the new one. But not so much that it seems more than one teen girl has issues with her parents. I think this turned me off. Just a few quirks like that made me give this book 4 stars over 5.
