This book was better than the first book in the Gemma Doyle trilogy....more action and intrigue! As far as a mystery goes, I found it all predictable, but even though I knew who the evil Circe was, I still that the book was fun! I am already reading The Sweet Far Thing (Book 3)and a new mysterious plot is already developing. I would recommend this book to fans of the Victorian Era and those who like a good book about boarding school girl/teen drama. Harry Potter fans will like the magic & the re
