First Line: Here is everything I know about France: Madeline and Amelie and Moulin Rouge.

Favorite Quote: "I live here." I point dumbly at my room while my mind whirs: French name, English accent, American school. Anna confused.

My thoughts:
There are times when we come across a book that we just want to live in. Well, this is it for me! I absolutely loved every moment of this book and did not want it to end! Not only did Anna fall in love with Etienne but, so did I!

I was determined not to succumb to the five star rating, but I can't resist. I loved the story and characters so much. Anna is such a strong character and I wish I was as bold as she is when it comes to saying exactly what's on your mind when you're angry. LOL!!! ...more

I really liked this story. It took me back to high school...all the drama, insecurities, misunderstandings. Some moments were a little cliched...but that's to be expected with a YA love story, I think. More than anything, this book made me want to visit Paris. It's been on my list of places to see, but walking through parts of the city in Anna's shoes...now, I really have to go sometime.

The only reason why I decided to read this book was its high rating. The title and the summary really did not sound so appealing to me, but I decided to give this book a try. Fortunately, I ended up loving the book! This really was an adorable young adult romance and it took me by surprise. I usually am very doubtful of young adult romance books because they usually end up with all whole bunch of corniness. I absolutely loved Anna's sense of humor because she reminded me of the way I think when ...more

Anna is looking forward to her senior year in Atlanta, where she has a great job, a loyal best friend, and a crush on the verge of becoming more. Which is why she is less than thrilled about being shipped off to boarding school in Paris--until she meets Étienne St. Clair. Smart, charming, beautiful, Étienne has it all...including a serious girlfriend.

But in the City of Light, wishes have a way of coming true. Will a year of romantic near-misses end with their long-awaited French kiss?
