I'm glad that I was finally able to find out why everyone is so excited about this book, but ultimately, it just wasn't for me. Part of the problem was that a lot of the drama revolved around the Grievers, which were some strange monster/robots that I was never really able to picture. Overall the book is a solid 3 stars. I would have rated it 4 stars if the writing had picked up/plot moved forward prior to chapter 48. If you are willing to stick with it, the last 100 pages are worth it. I'll read the second in the series, but I'll be finishing other books on my TBR list first.
