If Obsidian was all about the beginnings of Katy and Daemon's romance, Onyx is all about them actually getting together. Because the DOD is in town, there's more conflict and fighting in Onyx, but by and large, the focus is on Katy and Daemon. Obsidian ended with Daemon declaring his feelings for Katy and Katy rebuking him because she's concerned that his feelings aren't the real deal due to the connection forged between them when she was healed and changed. Definitely some interesting developments in this installment. After Daemon healed her, Katy developed powers of her own. Blake shows up and offers to train her, to teach her to control her powers before the DOD steps in and takes care of her. Once again, Katy's decisions will have epic consequences. I enjoyed the story and loved the whole Katy/Daemon dynamic. I am anxious to see what the future holds for Katy. I am also interested to see if we will see more of Will and Blake. How about Bethany?
