Pakalnučių metai caught me off guard. I was expecting a naïve debut novel, some short stories and then - wow - comes this book, containing rebellious, but mature thoughts and stories which haunt me till this day.
Jurga Ivanauskaitė has written better books, but has she written anything as ghostly as the story about those lillies?.. I dare say not.
