I was seriously and unendingly depressed by the insanity of our politics (no one had been nominated at this point). I knew I couldn't continue this way so I did, for me, what seemed logical. I found something far more terrifying to occupy my mind. Ted Koppel (bless him) has written a book about cyberwarfare--what it would mean if any of our three power grids were taken out for months--and how our goverment has done nothing about it even though they know it could happen any day--and certainly wil ...more

The first third of the book was dry and hard to get through, even as someone who already had a background knowledge of utilities, the pros and cons of deregulation and how electricity is priced and transported to our homes. The second and third sections of the book were great however - I loved learning more about preppers and Ted Koppel dispelled some myths about the stereotypes of the typical prepper.
