Who writes a book called "1776" without focusing on the Declaration of Independence?
If the book is about the War for Independence, why stop in 1776 instead of in 1781?
McCullough says the book is about understanding why these events happened, but then isn't 1776 too late to start?

Much more about war strategies than I expected. I thought it would be more about the men involved (founding fathers mostly) and where they were and what they were doing throughout that year.
Good but not my favorite book about GW and the war!
