I found this book reviewing lists of funny non-fiction books and I am so glad. I have never read Nora Ephron before, but have watched and loved When Harry Met Sally and Sleepless in Seattle many times. This book came to me at the perfect time. I'm not sure I would have identified with so many things or found them funny if I had read it when it came out.

Hilarious--and oh so true.
I especially loved her essays on friendship (and the death of her best friend) and the ecstasy of getting lost in a book. I was less enthralled by those about the effects of aging on your personal appearance. Still a poignant book to read after her death.
I got this book as a steal (it was a cheap library cast off).
I enjoyed it, but I think I need about 10 more years to really appreciate it. I found some parts, regardless of my age, a little hard to relate to (the cooking parts). Ephron has a quirky style that I liked.
I could possibly read from her again.
