Southcrop Forest takes the reader into the natural world like few other books have before. It is told through the 'eyes' of the Southcrop Trees and the colony of crawlers who calls itself Fur. Southcrop Forest is under threat from deforestation by the rollers (man) and have to protect both themselves and their gift of Southcrop Vision before it is too late. This is a Nature story that let's you see things from the point of view of trees and of one Tent caterpillar, Fur, who is an individual speaking for all the Tent caterpillars. Trees and caterpillars!!? I was surprised by how interesting the story became when I started reading it. I could hardly put it down. Then I read it again.
It is written with intelligence, creativity , and humor. I love the way Fur speaks candidly at times when he is young, always curious and never afraid to ask questions. H
