I loved all the various sources used in the book & felt there was a good balance between the time periods. It was a very interesting subject, giving insight into polygamy and how it affects not only the wives but children and husbands alike.

I liked the structure of this novel. Not only that it was two stories with a time slip but also that the historical story was progressed by newspaper articles, letters, research papers etc.

The modern day story doesn't take up much of the book, however I think it was essential, both to prevent the historical story from becoming too "dry" and also to show that polygamy still goes on and how it affects those living in that society.
