*NEW REVIEW FROM RE-READ - BRIGGS TRANSLATION**
This was my second read of Tolstoy’s novel - the first time I read the Maude/Oxford translation. It has been a very, very different experience all round.

The most amazing book in so many ways. Character development, historical content, and a very critical look at the way history is written from a varied perspective give the reader so many ways to enjoy the reading of this book.
