What Members Thought

I feel like this book covers a whole lot of ground in a relatively short period of time. We start in England, then off to Malaysia in flashback, back to England, then Australia. That's a lot of travel, but it stays coherent.

5 stars for the first half, it fluctuated between 2 and 3 for a bit, then ended quite well, so I rounded it up for 4. This seemed to me very much "of its time" regarding views on women, race and use of pesticides.

It seems that most WW2 books focus on what the Germans did. Was refreshing to read another success story on the pacific, and the inspiration that it gave.
