What Members Thought
This was my least favorite best of short stories book in recent years BUT that is just a matter of taste, this still gets 4 stars because these are good, of course.
I prefer novels to short stories, and really have to be in the right mood to read short stories -- apparently not willing to make a commitment but willing to put the effort into a close reading because every little word matters in this format. So it took me a while to get through this collection.
A few of my favorites:
-"Ceiling" by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie - I liked the setting in Lagos, which I didn't know anything about. Good reminder that reading exposes you to new things.
